If you've got a Publix near you, this week is the week to shop. For every $25 in groceries, you can get a $50 gas card for only $40!
Here's how to get the max out of this deal.
Get your groceries in small transactions. Some stores will let you get a gas card for every $25 worth of groceries (so if you get $100 in groceries, they'd let you get 4 gas cards) but some don't. Break up your transactions to make sure you get the best deal.
Use free item coupons to help you get to that $25. The $25 in groceries you have to spend is BEFORE coupons, so max out your freebie coupon items to help you make more transactions!
Make sure you add the gas card to your purchase, and use the coupon for the gas card found in the store flyer (you can get them at the front of the store). The discount won't come up automatically, you HAVE to use the coupon.
If you coupon well, you can get your gas card for even less!
Here's what I did last night:
2 Philly Cooking Cremes (free coupons)
$3.75 worth of Chicken (used 2 $1.50 peelies for $1.50 off chicken wyb Philly Cooking Creme)
3 12 packs of Coke (buy 2 get one free sale, PLUS I used 2 free 12-pack coupons)
Snyders Pretzels (tearpad coupon for $1.50 off Snyders wyb Diet Coke)
2 Sargento Cheese (used printable Publix coupons for $1.50 off each)
$50 Gas Card (used flyer coupon for $10 off)
PLUS I used a $5 off $25 Competitors Grocery Coupon
Total came to $38 and change- for a $50 Gas Card and about $27 in groceries!
Use the $2 Dentastix coupons from 1/30 Red Plum to get some moneymaker to put towards your Gas Card (they are $3 on BOGO this week. $1 moneymaker for every 2 you buy with coupons!)
So get on out there and get some free gas!
